Moving Canton Forward and Delivering Results for Our Community
"My Family moved to Canton in 1988 because of our quality schools and great community resources. My husband Mark and I raised our three children here and have a grandson who still lives close by. I have been a long time active community member who has been involved in volunteering in our public schools, Sunday School teacher at Geneva Presbyterian Church and a Girl Scout Leader with H.V.G.S.
I served Canton as State Representative of the 21st district for six years as a strong voice for transparency and accountability in government. I sponsored a bill to end taxpayer-funded lifetime healthcare for State Lawmakers to ensure that our elected officials share in the sacrifice that Michigan families are facing every day. I also supported government reforms to dock Legislators pay when they missed a day of session and cut my own salary 10%. I am not afraid to speak out against unethical behavior and I pledge to work hard for the residents of Canton as our Treasurer."
